European Parliament Report Reveals Details on Removal of KlanKosova License, According to Journalist Vudi Xhymshiti

In an exclusive interview on Euronews Albania, journalist Vudi Xhymshiti provided insights into the procedure employed by the Kosovo government to revoke the license of KlanKosova television.

Xhymshiti emphasized that the Republic of Kosovo has the authority to restrict any media outlet that works against national interests.

Citing the European Parliament report on page 26, Xhymshiti substantiated claims that the media organization in question had disseminated disinformation and according to Kosova News Investigation has received funding from Serbia.

"The EP report unequivocally states that Klan Kosova has been instrumental in propagating false information and engaging in deliberate acts to tarnish Kosovo's international reputation," he remarked.

Acknowledging the credibility of the European Parliament report, Xhymshiti highlighted the financial roots of the television station, tracing them back to Serbia. He underlined Serbia's active involvement in threatening Kosovo's territorial integrity and constitutional order through criminal organizations masquerading as protestors. Xhymshiti argued that, in the interest of national security, Kosovo possesses the absolute right to suspend Klan Kosova's operations, drawing a parallel with Great Britain and the European Union's complete suspension of Russian Today and Sputnik.

Xhymshiti called for consistency, noting that it would be hypocritical to support the EU's actions against Russian propaganda while denying Kosovo the right to counter Serbian propaganda within its borders.

"We cannot become hypocrites and say that the EU has the right to block Russian propaganda in the EU while Kosovo does not have the right to suspend Serbian propaganda in Kosovo," he asserted.
